Sample Work

Sample Research and Analysis

The examples below show how BCI connects public evidence to a business decision. Look for the distinction between source facts and analyst judgment, the treatment of positive and adverse indicators, and the questions that remain unanswered.

These are independent portfolio exercises. The companies shown were not BCI clients and did not commission, participate in, or endorse the assessments.

Assessment terminology: The earlier CPI sample retains its original historical labels: “Proceed,” “Proceed with Controls,” and “Avoid.” Current reports use “Further consideration supported,” “Further consideration supported, subject to conditions,” and “Significant concerns identified.” Read each sample’s explanation and conditions; the historical labels should not be mechanically substituted. Risk level and assessment conclusion are separate judgments, not automatic equivalents. The CPI sample has not been refreshed with new research. The Redwire sample was revised October 22, 2026, with an evidence cutoff of October 21 and financial information principally through June 30.

Redwire Corporation

Public-Source Counterparty Assessment: Federal Teaming and Subcontracting

Before relying on a prospective teammate, know which company-specific questions deserve attention. This independent Redwire example prioritizes reporting-control effectiveness, funding over the delivery period, and readiness of the business that would perform the work.

The three-page main assessment connects public evidence to a hypothetical hardware-and-systems-integration subcontract and identifies conditions to resolve before material reliance. Four appendix pages provide methodology, detailed review prompts, and source locators. The assessment supports a decision to continue diligence; it does not approve the company to perform.

Corporate Intelligence Brief

CPI Aerostructures, Inc.

Public-Source Corporate Intelligence Brief

This portfolio exercise illustrates the next level of analysis beyond a screening-level risk snapshot.

The brief integrates multiple company-risk areas into a single assessment and evaluates how the principal risks interact, where the available evidence is mitigating, and which issues remain unresolved.

The final assessment includes an overall risk judgment, analytical confidence, recommended controls, and information gaps relevant to the business decision.

Company Risk Snapshot

Rocket Lab Corporation

Public-Source Company Risk Snapshot

This historical portfolio exercise asks whether company-level risks should affect continued consideration of Rocket Lab as a long-term investment. Its September 6, 2026 assessment cutoff is unchanged; it is not a current investment assessment.

The revised opening explains why a large cash balance must be considered alongside financing and cash use, and why Electron’s operating history does not establish Neutron’s readiness. It shows how the assessment turns those distinctions into verification and monitoring questions.

The final assessment includes an overall risk level, BCI assessment conclusion, recommended controls, and information gaps relevant to the decision being considered.

What to Look For

What the Sample Reports Demonstrate

Evidence Discipline

Material findings are tied to identifiable public sources rather than unsupported assertions.

Decision Relevance

Research is organized around the issues most likely to affect the stated business decision.

Fact vs. Judgment

Established facts, analytical judgments, mitigating indicators, and information gaps remain distinct.

Practical Assessment

The research is brought together into an overall assessment with appropriate controls or next steps.

Important Context

Sample Reports Are Point-in-Time Assessments

Corporate conditions change. Financial performance, ownership, leadership, litigation, regulatory matters, contracts, and other material developments may change after a report is completed.

Each sample should therefore be read in light of its stated research cutoff date rather than as a current assessment of the company.

BCI does not represent that a historical sample remains current after its stated assessment date.

Additional Samples

Additional Portfolio Work Will Be Added Selectively

BCI will add additional public portfolio examples only after the underlying exercise and final report have completed the same internal quality-control review applied to the samples shown here.

Sample work is not added simply to fill every service category.
